Education and Experience:
Ann has been a financial planner since February 1985. She has a degree in history from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, and attended the University of Southern California graduate program in International Relations. She has a Series 7 Securities License, a Series 63, Series 66, a California Department of Insurance License, and earned her Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 1992 from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. She is a selling group member of First Affirmative Financial Network, LLC and her broker/dealer is Portfolio Resources Advisor Group, Inc.
Ann has been teaching a class for Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine since 1998 on investing for women. She has been interviewed on Lou Dobbs’ Moneyline (CNN), and quoted in various publications, including the New York Times, Baltimore Sun, Ticker Magazine, Investment News, and CNNfn.
Community Involvement:
Ann teaches first aid and volunteers as an emergency medical technician (EMT) at various charity events and serves as a Red Cross volunteer. Ann has also volunteered in refugee camps in Laos and Thailand, and she was an interviewer for Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. Ann is an educational volunteer for the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. In addition, she conducts seminars on socially responsible investing for non-profit groups, and pre-retirement seminars for corporations.
